User roles

Teams are made up of members, and each member of a team can be assigned a role. These roles define what you can and can't do within a team on the Doctave dashboard.

How are the roles used?

Usually team members, who commit regularly to documentation, such as technical writers, product managers and select developers will have the User role. Other team members, such as developers who only commit to documentation occasionally, will have the Light user role.

Note that an user account isn't strictly required to contribute to documentation, as anyone can contribute to documentation via Git.
